BexBook

Privacy policy

Last updated 3 November 2026

This policy explains what BexBook collects, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Account data: your email (used to sign in with Google or an emailed code), display name and preferences such as timezone and currency.
  • Trading records you enter: trades, accounts, journal entries, goals, tags and screenshots.
  • Billing data: plan, amounts and payment status from our payment provider. We never see or store full card details.
  • Security data: session device, IP address and sign-in times, used to protect your account.

Product analytics

We measure how BexBook is used with our own first-party analytics — no third-party trackers or advertising cookies. We record which pages are viewed (as page types, such as “trade detail”, never the trade itself or anything in the address after the page), the site that referred you, campaign tags in the link you followed, a broad device type, browser and operating system, and which features are used. To count visitors we store a random identifier in a first-party cookie and a visit identifier for the current tab; neither is derived from your device. We don’t record your IP address, the content of your trades, journal or notes, or payment details for analytics.

If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, nothing is recorded. Analytics data is kept for up to two years and is deleted with your account.

How we use it

To provide the service, calculate your statistics, secure your account, process payments and send notices you have opted into. We do not sell your data and do not use your trading records for advertising.

Screenshots and journal content

Stored privately and delivered only through short-lived signed links. Images are re-encoded on upload, which removes embedded metadata such as location. Administrators do not have routine access to your journal text or screenshots.

Processors

We use infrastructure providers for hosting, database, storage, email and payments. They process data only on our instructions.

Retention and deletion

You can export your data at any time and delete your account from Settings → Account. Deleting your account removes your trades, journal and accounts; payment records are kept as required for accounting.
